Investigator Assist deputy
prosecutors in case preparation, research, and courtroom preparation. Involved
in most major cases and homicides. Was chief investigator for the office in the
recent Chet Thurston triple homicide trial. As illustrator, draw crime scene
diagrams, sketches, and illustrations for use in trials.
As part of this very aggressive
prosecuting team, have increased conviction rate from 56% in 1994 to 84% in
1999. From 10/94 to 5/98, member of the experimental Career Criminal Unit. Met
and exceeded goals of keeping repeat offenders incarcerated until trial,
bringing cases to trial quickly, and obtaining maximum sentences. Unit had a
98% conviction rate.
As Police Liaison Officer since 1997,
maintain open communications with Federal, State, and Local law enforcement
agencies. Keep individual officers informed of progress in cases they
investigated and made arrests in. Have developed excellent relations with all
departments.

all types of cases including shop lifting, burglaries, robberies, con artists,
and traffic accidents. Worked closely with several retail chains to break up a
four-state shoplifting ring. Handled numerous internal fraud and theft cases
with large companies. One of three officers on-call to investigate traffic
fatalities. Received very high interdepartmental ratings and received many
letters of commendation from individuals, businesses, and agencies. Member of
SWAT team.
Special Investigations (4 years) Specialized in
narcotics investigations including undercover assignments. Involved in several
major narcotics arrests including breaking up a large heroin distribution ring.
Investigated homicides, burglaries and frauds as well.
