Shipping and Receiving Coordinator—As shipping and receiving coordinator for
this electronics components manufacturer, responsible for receiving all
incoming express packages and container shipments, as well as shipping all
finished goods in a timely manner. Ensure that complex regulations and
procedures are maintained in order to keep the ISO 9000 designation.
Developed a system to
preprint all orders the afternoon before shipment. This streamlined system has
virtually eliminated overtime and saves over 200 man-hours per year. Developed
a uniform labeling system that has reduced errors, saved time when picking
orders, and significantly increased the accuracy of monthly physical inventory
counts.

the daily shipping and receiving log and distribute all incoming materials.
Work closely with department managers to resolve discrepancies on purchase
orders. Keep production manager and other supervisors apprised of products with
shipment priority, and ensure products ship on schedule. Coordinate with
various departments to ensure that Quality Control Certification is produced in
a timely fashion. Inform material purchaser when stock inventory exceeds 5% of
production. Negotiate with vendors and purchase all shipping materials.
Developed a system which has
reduced late shipments from nine per month to less than two per month.
Established a delivery
system which has reduced Monday work stoppages due to lack of chemicals from 40
per year to less than five per year.
Developed an inventory
control program which has reduced stocking levels of finished printed circuit
boards from $1.5 million to less than $1.0 million.
Cross-trained shipping and
receiving personnel and eliminated work back logs.
Reduced cost of shipping
materials by ordering in larger quantities and receiving staggered deliveries.
Installed a system of
packaging and boxing circuit boards which has resulted in a 99% shipment
completion rate and 94% accuracy rate versus 80% and 82% in the past.
